Living with a host is an important part of a student’s stay with us; it provides an opportunity to experience real-life in Britain and also to practice English.
Students stay with carefully selected hosts, no further than 30 minutes from the school by bus (this is approx. rush hour times but journeys are often shorter). We work with a long-standing and professional accommodation agency to ensure that a student’s host experience is hassle-free.

We have hosts within walking distance of the school too but generally, students can expect to travel up to the time indicated above to get to school.

Everybody receives a travel card (bus pass) for the entire duration of their stay which allows them to travel freely on the buses without worrying about fares.

Hosts provide half-board (breakfast and evening meal) accommodation during the week and full-board (breakfast, lunch and evening meal) at the weekend.

If students are going on excursions or doing activities at the weekend, our hosts provide a packed lunch.

During the week, lunches are provided at the school.

Our hosts enjoy what they do and often treat students like their own children. You will be expected to make your bed in the morning and clean up after you, just like at home in your country, for example!

Communication is crucial in our business and everyone involved is closely connected. If a
student decides to stay out later than they are allowed one evening, the host quickly informs the organiser, who in turn informs the school, who then contact the group leader or agent – it doesn’t take us long to find out what is going on, rest assured.

Even our taxi drivers look out for our students and if they see them walking around at a time when they should be at home, they contact the school with details – basically, everyone involved works closely together to make sure things go to plan. Students sometimes think this is a bit harsh but of course, we see it differently – it’s all about keeping them safe & well and ensuring everyone has a good time.

"I had a really nice holiday here also because of my host family and my 'new
home' - they were simply fantastic with us."
- Alice
